After a successful launch in 2012, which counted with a keynote speech by Mr Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, the Latin American Forum celebrated its first year with an event held at Hispania. In this occasion, we were honoured to have Mr John Hawksworth, Head of Macroeconomics at PWC UK and editor of its Economic Outlook publications as our keynote speaker. Mr Hawksworth is the author of numerous reports and articles on macroeconomic and public policy topics and a regular media commentator on these issues. He expressed that Latin America continues to be a region of growth and the Latin American Forum is in a privileged position to promote links between this continent and the UK. In a first year full of activities, the Latin American Forum has worked hard on cementing its Three Pillars: Connecting the Dots; Creating an Effective Latin American Network; and Converting Opportunities into Realities.
